What is the minimum Educational Qualification for UPSC Civil Services Exams:
An applicant shall have a Graduate Degree for UPSC/IAS from any of the Central or State Universities or possess an equivalent qualification.
Can final-year students appear for UPSC Examinations?
1. Candidates whose final results have not been released by their respective institutes but have appeared at a qualifying examination are also eligible for admission to the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination.
2. All candidates must prove passing the necessary qualifying examination along with their Detailed Application Form-I for the UPSC Main Examination. Their respective institutes should issue such proof latest by the closing date of (D.A.F.) Detailed Application Form-I.
3. UPSC may treat a candidate who possesses any of the qualifications mentioned earlier as a candidate in exceptional circumstances. You should note here that the candidate should pass an examination conducted by the respective institution, the standard of which, in the opinion of UPSC, justifies the admission to the UPSC (CSE) Civil Services Examination.

5. U.P.S.C. provisionally admits the final year professional M.B.B.S. candidates who have passed but have yet to finish their internship by the time of submission of their applications for the Civil Services (Main) Examination.
