3. The Internet of Things: Many basic IoT tools are already in use. Smart streetlights, for example, turn off automatically to save energy. Urban planners can expand on these methods to create concepts that improve urban infrastructure.
4. Planning apps: Urban planners may create inclusive and lively areas for inhabitants and companies by leveraging current technology and open data. Planning tools like the "National Equity Atlas" and "Metro Pulse" aid in the urban design process and help to develop areas that city residents require.
5. Virtual Reality: Virtual reality can also be used to simulate situations for modelling 3D urban landscapes. Urban planners can see various urban areas using modern visualisation tools. Potential environmental repercussions can thus be predicted. This results in more accurate judgements and conclusions.
Urban planners may use the internet to design cities that are accessible to remote employees. As a result, urban plans now include improved transport options and less traffic congestion.
